Rights

I would like to propose that all persons have one single fundamental right and no other. That right is:

One has the right to do anything so long as it does not infringe on the right of another.

So, it's a self-referential definition which I think is quite appropriate in this case. Justification for this is the axiom that all persons must have the Freedom to Choose. The above definition for rights is required because:

1) Anything less than this would be a restriction on the freedom to choose

2) Anything more would be impossible without establishing certain persons with more rights and those with less.

Put another way, the above grants the absolute maximum universal rights to everyone. Any attempt to give anyone more rights than this inherently means removing it from someone else and thus cannot be universal.

Now… there are various challenges in determining whether there has been an infringement of rights.
